AMPI is the Mexican national professional association of real estate brokers and agents. It has many functions, including provision of a multi-listing service, but of most interest to buyers is their code of ethics and established statutes that bind all members. Founded in 1956, AMPI has grown to more than twenty regional associations throughout Mexico. AMPI works directly with the authorities, both state, federal and local, to raise the standards and laws regarding real estate in Mexico: thus offering a buyer or seller greater confidence because of their guarantee of professionalism and ethics.

AMPI is affiliated internationally with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in the United States, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and FIABCI, the Federation of International Realtors.
